en.Wedoany.com Reported - The municipal government of Benaguasil, in the Valencian Community of Spain, has put into operation the solar photovoltaic self-consumption facilities installed at its town hall building, with a total tender budget of €54,348 for the project.

This photovoltaic plant, with an installed capacity of nearly 35 kW, operates in a surplus-free self-consumption mode, with the panels installed on a metal pergola on the upper terrace of the town hall. The entire system consists of 88 photovoltaic panels, covering an area of approximately 150 square meters, arranged at a tilt angle of nearly 10 degrees facing southwest to reduce wind resistance. The municipal government estimates that this facility can reduce the building's energy consumption by 40% to 50%.

The municipal government also completed a second photovoltaic plant in April this year at the Retirees' Center (Centro de Jubilados), with a peak capacity of 50 kW, used to offset electricity consumption at the Youth Center (Centro de la Juventud), the Social Center (Centro Social), and the Luis Vives School (Colegio Luis Vives). This infrastructure involved an investment of €56,427, with a financing structure combining a €50,784 subsidized loan and a €31,740 non-repayable grant.

The second plant is equipped with two inverters, one grid-tied and one hybrid, the latter enabling an energy storage capacity of 11.16 kWh. The entire storage system consists of two batteries of 5.8 kWh each, and the expected annual energy generation is 68,788.59 kWh.
