Kazakhstan's National Atomic Company Reports 9% Year-on-Year Increase in Uranium Production in H1 2026

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Kazakhstan's National Atomic Company (Kazatomprom) reported a 9% year-on-year increase in uranium production in Kazakhstan for the first half of 2026. The world's largest uranium producer disclosed in its production data released on Monday that it produced 13,291 tonnes of uranium in the first half of this year, compared with 12,242 tonnes in the same period in 2025.

Kazakhstan's National Atomic Company primarily sells uranium oxide concentrate through long-term contracts. This product is an intermediate form in the process of converting natural uranium into nuclear fuel, with only a small portion of output sold on the spot market.

The company is 75% owned by Samruk-Kazyna, Kazakhstan's national fund, and has been listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) since 2019.
