en.Wedoany.com Reported - German hydraulic cylinder manufacturer Weber-Hydraulik GmbH has expanded its hydraulic cylinder development and manufacturing capabilities at its plant in Güglingen, now producing large hydraulic cylinders for high-performance applications at this site to meet the growing demand in demanding application fields.

The expansion of hydraulic cylinder sizes was preceded by a multi-year development and validation process. The company initially produced hydraulic cylinders with a maximum bore diameter of 160 mm and, from around 2018, systematically advanced the design, testing, and series production of larger cylinder sizes. Building on its proven applications in the medium size range, it gradually expanded its product portfolio toward higher performance and size classes. Today, the company can produce hydraulic cylinders with a bore diameter of up to 300 mm, with the outer diameter potentially being significantly larger than the bore diameter depending on the design and application.
At the Güglingen plant, Weber-Hydraulik produces large ballast cylinders as well as high-performance support cylinders for demanding applications. In addition, the product range includes various models of bolt tensioning cylinders, which are designed for different application requirements, reflecting the company's growing capabilities in large-scale hydraulic solutions.
Realizing larger hydraulic cylinders places higher demands on the design and manufacturing processes, including adjusted material selection, specially designed sealing concepts, and further developed testing methods. At the same time, the design and validation of such cylinders require more complex simulation and calculation processes, while production processes must be adapted and component handling capabilities expanded to ensure the required quality and process reliability.
By expanding its product dimensions, Weber-Hydraulik is responding to the growing demand in various application fields, particularly in heavy machinery and high-load systems. Larger hydraulic cylinder diameters enable higher force outputs, thereby expanding the application possibilities of hydraulic solutions. The company states that this development underscores its ambition as a development and technology partner to realize customer-specific solutions even in demanding size ranges. To this end, internal processes, production capacities, and testing methods have been correspondingly adjusted to ensure that larger components also meet quality and functional reliability standards.
