L&T-led consortium wins over $1.57 billion offshore facilities contract from UAE's ADNOC

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Larsen & Toubro (L&T)'s arm, L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore (LTEH Offshore), has been awarded a contract by ADNOC Offshore to develop multiple offshore facilities in the Middle East. The contract is valued at over INR 150 billion ($1.57 billion), with the exact amount undisclosed.

The project will be executed by a consortium led by LTEH Offshore, which will undertake the majority of the scope as the consortium leader. The contract scope includes engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning (EPCIC) of new offshore facilities, with upgrades to existing infrastructure also covered under the agreement. Most of the fabrication work will be carried out at L&T's manufacturing yards.

S N Subrahmanyan, Chairman and Managing Director of L&T, stated that ADNOC's trust reflects the client's recognition of L&T's engineering capabilities, project execution standards, and ability to safely deliver complex energy infrastructure projects on time. Subrahmanyan noted that as a long-term partner in the region, L&T will continue to support the UAE's (United Arab Emirates) energy goals with innovative and sustainable offshore solutions.

L&T is a multinational engineering group with operations spanning engineering, procurement and construction projects, high-tech manufacturing, and products and services. The company supports its offshore business through manufacturing facilities at Hazira and Kattupalli in India, and Sohar in Oman, and owns a fleet of marine vessels for heavy lifting and pipelaying operations. Over the past four decades, LTEH Offshore has delivered numerous offshore development projects across India, the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia, encompassing fixed and floating platforms, subsea pipelines, risers, brownfield upgrades, and decommissioning works.

Additionally, another L&T arm, L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore, recently secured a contract from Kuwait Oil Company involving Jurassic light oil export facilities. The contract scope includes engineering, procurement, construction, and upgrades to Kuwait's existing crude oil export network.
