en.Wedoany.com Reported - Tata Motors has commissioned a Re.Wi.Re (Respect and Recycle) Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF) in Patna, Bihar, expanding its nationwide vehicle recycling network to 12 centers. The facility has an annual dismantling capacity of 15,000 vehicles and caters to all brands and vehicle types, including passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, two-wheelers, and three-wheelers.

With the commissioning of the Patna facility, Tata Motors' registered vehicle scrapping centers now cover Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, Surat, Chandigarh, Delhi NCR, Pune, Guwahati, Raipur, Lucknow, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Patna. The entire network can responsibly dismantle nearly 200,000 end-of-life vehicles annually.

Rajesh Kaul, Vice President and Head of Trucks Business at Tata Motors, stated that the new facility strengthens the company's efforts to build an organized vehicle recycling ecosystem. The National Vehicle Scrapping Policy provides a structured framework for phasing out unfit and polluting vehicles while supporting the transition to clean mobility through appropriate incentives.

Tata Motors stated that each Re.Wi.Re facility operates with a fully digital, paperless process. The Patna center features dedicated dismantling stations for handling tires, batteries, fuel, oil, fluids, and gases; separate dismantling systems are provided for commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles, two-wheelers, and three-wheelers to ensure safe handling and disposal of components in accordance with the national scrapping policy.

The company stated that every vehicle undergoes a documented dismantling process to maximize material recovery while ensuring environmentally responsible disposal of hazardous components. This facility is also part of Tata Motors' broader strategy to support circular economy practices and sustainable mobility in India.
