The new facility is located adjacent to Bosch Rexroth's existing hydraulics manufacturing base and primarily handles warehousing and logistics for industrial hydraulics products. Upon activation, the company will relocate its previously outsourced logistics operations on Broadhead Road in Bethlehem Township to the new campus, consolidating manufacturing and logistics—previously about 6 miles apart—at a single location.
The logistics center is equipped with an automated storage and retrieval system, which can increase the campus's warehousing capacity by approximately 50%. With manufacturing, warehousing, and shipping operations consolidated, Bosch Rexroth plans to reduce material transfers between facilities, shorten order delivery lead times, and enhance supply flexibility for its North American industrial hydraulics customers.
The project officially broke ground on August 20, 2025, with construction originally scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2026. The Pennsylvania state government provided $1.5 million in support for the project, with funds allocated to facility expansion and employee skills training.
Bosch Rexroth has operated in the Lehigh Valley region for nearly 60 years. The Bethlehem site primarily serves its North American industrial hydraulics business, covering the manufacturing, testing, warehousing, and technical services of products such as hydraulic valves, integrated valve blocks, large hydraulic systems, and power units.
