en.Wedoany.com Reported - Antimony Resources (TSX-V:ATMY) has directly observed visible gold in drill core at the Bald Hill Antimony Project in New Brunswick, Canada. The discovery was made within drill hole BHC-26-13 in the Central Zone at a depth of 165.85 meters, with portable X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis indicating a gold grade of 285 grams per tonne.

The Central Zone extends 150 to 200 meters south of the Main Zone, distributed along strike. The company stated that the gold occurs within pyrite in quartz veins hosted by altered porphyritic rhyolite.

Chief Executive Officer James Atkinson called the discovery "very exciting." He noted that while gold associated with stibnite mineralization at Bald Hill had previously been inferred, and assay results had also indicated gold, this marks the first time gold has been directly observed in drill core. Atkinson also pointed out that Bald Hill is primarily an antimony deposit, but the association between antimony and gold is well known globally, and the presence of gold could further enhance the economic potential of the deposit.

Drill hole BHC-26-13 targeted the southern extension of the mineralized zone exposed near the southern end of the Central Zone, testing at depth beneath a surface trench containing stibnite. Drilling in the Central Zone continues, and assay results from holes drilled in July have not yet been released.

The Bald Hill mineralized zone extends over 600 meters along strike and at least 350 meters in depth, with mineralization open in all directions. The average width is 4 to 5 meters, with an average antimony (Sb) grade of 3% to 4%. A technical report released in 2025 estimated potential resources of approximately 2.7 million tonnes at grades ranging from 3% to 4% antimony, but the company stated that current work is insufficient to confirm this estimate.

Antimony Resources is a mineral exploration company focused on acquiring, exploring, and developing antimony assets in Canada.
