Endeavour Silver Lifts Terronera Mine Blockade, Operations Resume August 24
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 23, Endeavour Silver Corp. announced that the blockade at its Terronera mine in Jalisco, Mexico, had been lifted, with operations officially resuming on August 24. The mine had been temporarily halted since August 12 due to a blockade set up by members of a nearby Ejido community.

According to the company's disclosure, the blockade stemmed from community members' demands regarding road maintenance, medical services and communication support, water resource management and access, as well as increased economic assistance. The entire blockade remained peaceful, orderly, and mutually respectful. In an update on August 20, the company stated that negotiations were ongoing and that there had been no material change in operational status, with both parties reaching an agreement several days later.
Endeavour stated that negotiations were conducted through direct dialogue, without government or military involvement. A company spokesperson said the discussions covered matters under existing agreements as well as additional items, all of which have now been negotiated and are in the final confirmation stage. The company will continue to work with the Ejido community to support stable, long-term operations.
Terronera is Endeavour's newest and most strategically valuable mine asset. The mine achieved first production in the second quarter of 2026, processing 175,729 tonnes of ore during the quarter and producing 582,000 ounces of payable silver (approximately 1.3 million silver equivalent ounces), with cash costs of $5.07 per ounce, making it the lowest-cost operation among the company's three producing mines. The company's full-year 2026 guidance projects Terronera silver production of 2.4 to 2.6 million ounces, gold production of 35,000 to 36,000 ounces, and throughput of 1,950 to 2,050 tonnes per day. The company did not adjust this guidance during the suspension.
Endeavour Silver is a Canada-based intermediate silver producer with three operating mines in Mexico and Peru, as well as a portfolio of exploration projects in Mexico, Chile, and the United States.
