ByteDance's new-generation Doubao phone adopts CXMT LPDDR5X memory
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 4, CXMT confirmed that the new-generation Doubao phone, the Nubia NaviX Ultra, co-developed by ZTE and ByteDance, will be equipped with CXMT's highest-speed LPDDR5X memory at 10667Mbps. CXMT stated that this marks the first mass-production application of domestically produced 10667Mbps high-speed LPDDR5X memory chips.

CXMT's existing LPDDR5/5X products cover single-die capacities of 12Gb and 16Gb, with a maximum speed of 10667Mbps and backward compatibility with LPDDR5. According to product specifications released by the company, the 10667Mbps version delivers a 66% increase in maximum speed over the previous-generation LPDDR5, while power consumption is reduced by 30% compared to LPDDR5. CXMT's LPDDR5X products currently span three speed tiers: 8533Mbps, 9600Mbps, and 10667Mbps. The 8533Mbps and 9600Mbps versions entered mass production in May 2025, while the 10667Mbps version was still in the customer sampling stage as of October 2025.
With the NaviX Ultra now adopting the 10667Mbps version, this specification has transitioned from customer sampling to terminal mass-production application. CXMT's 2026 semi-annual report shows that its LPDDR5/5X products currently offer capacities of 6GB, 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB, with a maximum speed of 10667Mbps, primarily used in smartphones, tablets, laptops, wearable devices, smart vehicles, and servers.
The Nubia NaviX Ultra, co-developed by ZTE and ByteDance, integrates the Doubao phone assistant. ZTE had previously showcased the Nubia M153 Doubao phone technical preview, which enables natural language commands and cross-app task processing through system-level integration of the Doubao phone assistant. The new-generation NaviX Ultra has entered the mass-production and launch stage, with sales scheduled to begin in September 2026.
CXMT's previous LPDDR5/5X products have already entered the supply chains of terminal brands such as Xiaomi and Transsion. According to the company's prospectus, LPDDR5/5X belongs to its core mobile DRAM product series, targeting mid-to-high-end smartphones and other mobile terminals. The adoption of the 10667Mbps specification in the Nubia NaviX Ultra marks a new mass-production terminal application for CXMT's highest-speed LPDDR5X products.
