GLP Starts Construction of Foshan AI Computing Center in China, Delivering 40MW IT Load in Phase One
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 3, GLP announced the groundbreaking ceremony for its Foshan AI Computing Center custom-built project in Foshan City, Guangdong Province, China. The project is being developed for a leading internet company, with an overall planned scale exceeding 200MW. Phase One is scheduled to deliver 40MW of IT load, with a total investment of approximately RMB 4 billion.

The project adopts a high-density liquid cooling technology roadmap, featuring a hybrid air-liquid multi-modal cooling source system, and plans to deploy 140kW-class liquid cooling clusters to support next-generation AI supernodes as well as high-computing scenarios such as large model training and inference. The power supply and distribution system adopts A/B dual-circuit, dual-busbar architecture, with different modules physically isolated while sharing a common base platform.
In terms of construction methodology, the project advances factory prefabrication of core components and on-site assembly simultaneously. According to GLP's published construction plan, this model can compress the construction timeline by more than 50%, with Phase One targeting delivery in approximately four months. This project is a custom-built development for a client, and the specific client name has not been disclosed in publicly available information.
GLP currently operates 20 computing centers in China, providing approximately 1400MW of IT load. As of the end of 2025, the company had cumulatively delivered over 420MW of IT load, with its computing center network covering the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Delta, the Greater Bay Area, and the Chengdu-Chongqing region. In 2025, its computing center business revenue grew by 32% year-on-year.
GLP's existing computing center clients include telecommunications operators, internet companies, artificial intelligence enterprises, hyperscale cloud service providers, financial institutions, and large corporations. With Phase One's 40MW IT load of the Foshan project in China now under construction, it will be incorporated into the company's Greater Bay Area computing center project portfolio.
