Located in South Punjab, the facility is LDC's first company-owned industrial site in Pakistan and has been integrated into its local grain procurement, storage, and logistics system following official operation.

The new facility primarily serves Pakistan's grain business. LDC entered the Pakistani market in 2010 and currently operates across agricultural products including cotton, grains, oilseeds, pulses, rice, and sugar, with its grain and oilseed operations managed by its Pakistan team. With the commissioning of the Multan facility, the company now has its own grain storage node in South Punjab, enabling direct intake of local grain supplies into storage and subsequent logistics processes.

South Punjab is one of Pakistan's major wheat-producing regions. The newly added 40,000 tons of capacity represents static grain storage capability. LDC has not publicly disclosed the number of silos, per-silo capacity, grain receiving speed, conveyor equipment specifications, or project investment amounts. Official announcements confirm that the facility has completed construction and entered operation, and is not in the planning or under-construction phase.

This project constitutes a separate node from the port grain logistics facilities LDC has previously advanced in Pakistan. In 2025, LDC Pakistan signed a long-term agreement with Karachi Gateway Terminal Multipurpose Limited to plan the construction and operation of bulk agricultural product handling and storage facilities at Karachi Port; the Multan project now in operation is located in the inland production area, serving grain storage and domestic logistics functions.

The Multan facility has now been fully commissioned, and LDC has not announced plans for the next phase of expansion, additional storage capacity, or new processing equipment. The project chain currently confirmable is: the company conducts grain trading operations in Pakistan—builds its first owned industrial site—adds approximately 40,000 tons of grain storage capacity—officially enters operation on September 2.
