Talisman Launches 2,770-Meter Copper-Silver Drilling Program in Morocco

Drilling will target approximately 4 kilometers of mineralized strike at the project, with capacity reserved during the program to test newly identified priority targets. Talisman has previously engaged Geosond Maroc SARL to undertake this round of reverse circulation drilling, marking the project's formal transition from earlier surface sampling and target delineation into the drill-verification phase.

Tirzzit is located approximately 225 kilometers east of Agadir, Morocco, and comprises two mining licenses covering a total area of 16.5 square kilometers, hosting a sediment-hosted stratiform copper-silver mineralization system. Talisman signed a project acquisition agreement in February 2026 with a wholly owned subsidiary of Aya Silver & Gold, and the two parties are currently completing the formal transfer of the two mining licenses. Aya also holds approximately 4.7% of Talisman's shares.

This drilling campaign primarily targets the basal mineralization zone previously defined by Talisman. In April, the company first conducted trench sampling over an approximately 700-meter section of the known 4.6-kilometer mineralized zone. All seven trenches returned results above the 0.3% copper cut-off grade, with a weighted average true thickness of approximately 1.25 meters, averaging 1.21% copper and 12.25 g/t silver. Among these, TZ-CH001 returned 2.65 meters at 1.71% copper and 22.25 g/t silver, with mineralization still present at the end of the sampled interval.

Subsequent geological mapping extended the known mineralization approximately 2 kilometers east of historical drill hole TT6. Trench sampling of new mineralized outcrops in July showed TZ-CH009 returning 1.69 meters at 2.62% copper and 41.54 g/t silver, and TZ-CH014 returning 2.78 meters at 2.16% copper and 41.76 g/t silver; six of the seven trenches in this round returned results above the 0.3% copper cut-off grade over an approximately 300-meter strike length, with true thicknesses ranging from 0.90 meters to 2.78 meters.

Historical exploration at the project was carried out by relevant Moroccan institutions between 1972 and 1976, comprising 35 drill holes totaling approximately 4,978 meters, as well as the construction of three exploration adits and raises, with associated underground workings totaling approximately 1,679 meters in length. Historical drill hole TT28 returned a 2.5-meter interval at 3.16% copper; TT6 returned 11.4 meters at 0.60% copper; and TT32 returned 2.25 meters at 2.08% copper and 36 g/t silver. These figures represent historical exploration results, and the current 33-hole program will further test the continuity of mineralization along strike and at depth.

When Talisman mobilized the drill rig on August 18, the original plan called for approximately 3,000 meters of reverse circulation drilling, with an expected program duration of approximately six weeks; following the start of drilling, the planned volume was adjusted to 2,770 meters across 33 holes. The company plans to begin releasing laboratory assay results in the later stages of the drilling program and will continue to provide periodic updates as drill sample analysis is completed. On August 20, Talisman also completed a placement raising £501,800, with net proceeds allocated to exploration and development work at the Tirzzit and Fougnar copper projects in Morocco.
