ARRAY Technologies in the United States Opens a Solar Tracker Factory Worth Over $50 Million
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 9, ARRAY Technologies opened a new solar tracker manufacturing facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. The project represents an investment of more than $50 million, with a building area of 216,000 square feet (approximately 20,100 square meters), about three times the size of the company's previous Albuquerque plant, and can accommodate approximately 300 positions in production, assembly, design, engineering, and customer service.

ARRAY's previously announced manufacturing plan shows that the new factory is planned to produce at least 10 million solar tracker clamps annually, while also producing other tracker components. The facility is equipped with 5 clamp assembly lines and 10 center structure assembly lines, continues to produce aluminum clamps, and adds a new steel clamp manufacturing process, including 2 metal stamping production lines and 4 steel clamp track riveting manufacturing cells. Automated equipment will also be introduced in the clamp assembly process.
The company's regulatory filings show that the Albuquerque production base mainly produces or assembles component clamps, center structures, and motor controller assemblies; components such as steel pipes, steel supports, drive systems, bearing assemblies, gearboxes, motors, and electronic controllers are procured from external suppliers and can be shipped directly to project sites or designated warehouses. The new facility includes approximately 176,000 square feet of manufacturing space and approximately 40,000 square feet of office and laboratory space.
The site for this expansion project was determined in 2023. The site is located in western Albuquerque, covers 22 acres, and ARRAY and its partners determined an investment of $50 million at that time; a groundbreaking ceremony was held in April 2024. The company subsequently obtained control of the new facility in the fourth quarter of 2025 and advanced plant construction and production preparation.
The project received funding support from the state of New Mexico and local governments. New Mexico provided $2.5 million through the Local Economic Development Act (LEDA) Job Creation Fund, and the City of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County each provided $250,000 in LEDA funds. Bernalillo County also provided partial property tax relief through an industrial revenue bond arrangement. Project data disclosed by the New Mexico Economic Development Department corresponds to $50 million in private investment and 87 new jobs; the overall operating scale of the new plant can support approximately 300 production and related positions.
As of the end of June 2026, ARRAY has delivered more than 100 gigawatts of solar tracker products cumulatively in more than 30 countries worldwide, and the company's executed contracts and awarded orders reached $2.5 billion during the same period. Before the opening of the new Albuquerque manufacturing facility, the company also launched the new-generation OmniTrack tracker and the ARRAY Atlas foundation-to-tracker integrated product system in 2026.
