Ganfeng New Lithium Source's 200 Million Lithium-Ion Battery Annual Production Project Partially Commissioned

en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Ganfeng New Lithium Source 200 million lithium-ion battery annual production project is located in the Optoelectronics Industrial Park in the northern area of Xinyu Economic Development Zone, and part of the site has now been completed and put into operation. Multiple automated production lines in the plant are running at high speed, with consumer lithium-ion battery products rolling off the lines one after another.

The project manager said the remaining production lines are scheduled to be completed in April next year. Once the project is fully completed, it will reach an annual production capacity of 200 million lithium-ion batteries, providing capacity support for Ganfeng New Lithium Source to expand into the consumer battery market.

The production line has achieved fully automated operation. From positive and negative electrode batching, coating, roll pressing, and slitting to electrode making, winding, electrolyte filling, formation, capacity grading, and testing, all processes are completed through intelligent equipment. The project manager said this production line has a relatively high degree of automation and can reduce labor by about 20% compared with traditional production lines.

In terms of digital management, the company has introduced intelligent manufacturing systems such as MES (Manufacturing Execution System), Andon (Andon System), and DCS (Distributed Control System), as well as a self-developed system developed and commissioned by an internal team. Once all these systems are put into operation, they will be used to improve production scheduling and process control efficiency.

The project manager said orders are currently very full. Ganfeng New Lithium Source mainly produces consumer batteries, with products covering subcategories such as e-cigarette batteries and smart wearable batteries, and each battery type is customized according to customer needs. This customized model brings high customer stickiness and stable sales channels. As the new plant is gradually completed and production capacity continues to be released, the company is also planning to purchase new land for the production of next-generation products such as stacked-process drone batteries, ring batteries, and smart glasses batteries, extending into higher-end market segments.

Project progress has also been supported by the park's supporting services. Previously, the company faced pressure from concentrated holiday order deliveries and urgently needed electricity connection. The park coordinated with the power company to complete the electricity connection one week before the holiday, ensuring on-time order delivery.

The project is currently entering a critical stage of production capacity release. The park said it will continue to follow up on ensuring factors such as water, electricity, and gas supply as well as commissioning support.
