This batch of rails will be shipped to Chile in South America, traveling across the ocean to be used in local railway construction. This marks a solid step for Ansteel's steel rails into the international heavy-haul rail market.

The ASTM 115RE IH steel rail is currently the product with the highest hardness grade among European and American standard hot-rolled steel rail products. It is used in overseas heavy-haul freight and small-radius curve harsh-condition railway projects in the Americas and other regions. This steel rail possesses ultra-high hardness, excellent wear resistance, and rolling contact fatigue resistance, placing extremely high demands on the matching of material strength and toughness, which increases the difficulty of technical research and mass production. To this end, the Product Development Center organized the Manufacturing Management Department, the Heavy Machinery General Plant, the Technology Center, the Quality Inspection and Metrology Center, the Steelmaking General Plant, and other departments and units to collaborate on tackling key challenges. The Marketing Center also organized multiple rounds of technical exchanges with overseas users. On the basis of thoroughly understanding ASTM specifications, the team precisely implemented the customer's additional technical requirements, finalized the supply technical agreement, and successfully secured this batch of orders.

To overcome the manufacturing bottleneck of high-alloy steel rails, the heavy rail team of the Technology Center scientifically coordinated the synergistic strengthening effects of various alloying elements. While ensuring the high strength and high hardness of the steel rails, they also took into account material toughness and welding adaptability, laying a solid foundation for product performance. In response to the problems caused by high alloy content, such as high rolling deformation resistance and difficult control of dimensional accuracy and surface quality, the Rail and Beam Division of the Heavy Machinery General Plant systematically optimized the entire process, improved the heating and soaking system, restructured the rolling schedule, and refined the guide and pass parameters, effectively suppressing rolling surface defects and ensuring that the rail cross-section dimensions stably met standards. The product yield rate of the project's steel rails reached an industry-leading level.
