en.Wedoany.com Reported - Italian rolling equipment manufacturer MINO has established MINO Rolling Technology India and set up a local office in Navi Mumbai. The new company will provide full-process support for the Indian market, from preliminary technical discussions, feasibility studies and engineering design to project execution, commissioning and after-sales technical services, covering aluminum, copper and steel rolling projects.

MINO's establishment of a local company in India this time is not merely setting up a sales representative office, but rather further decentralizing its engineering and project execution capabilities to the local level. The new company will serve as the local interface between Indian customers and MINO's Italian engineering and manufacturing centers as well as other overseas business units, participating in technical solution development, engineering implementation, on-site services and subsequent upgrades for rolling mill projects. The company's current product range includes hot rolling mills, cold rolling mills, foil rolling mills, process control systems, automation systems, rolling mill upgrades and technical services.

MINO has already established a substantive project foundation in India. In August 2025, the four-high aluminum cold rolling mill it supplied to JUPALCO Aluminium Limited completed first coil rolling and entered production. The equipment can process aluminum strip up to 2,300 mm wide and is equipped with an entry side trimmer and scrap edge shearing system, online vibration monitoring, a fully automatic coil circulation system, automatic sleeve handling equipment, and a technology control system with inductive hot edge heating function to improve strip flatness and edge quality.

JUPALCO is part of Jupiter Group, and its Indian aluminum flat rolled products production base has an annual capacity of approximately 120,000 tons, with products serving downstream industries such as packaging, automotive, construction, electrical and consumer goods. What MINO delivered to this project was not just a single cold rolling mill but also process control, automation and safety systems. After the project was put into operation, it formed a practical equipment operation case for MINO in India's aluminum processing sector.

In terms of equipment capabilities, MINO's aluminum processing technology covers hot rolling, single-stand and multi-stand cold rolling, foil rolling and supporting cooling and filtration systems, and it has independently developed rolling mill process control systems. Its hot rolling control system can perform thickness and flatness control, and complete stand preset and slab profile control through self-learning models; the cold rolling system is configured for aluminum strip thickness reduction, surface quality and continuous stable production.

MINO stated that in addition to completed projects, the company is still supporting multiple Indian projects. The newly established MINO Rolling Technology India will shorten the cycle for technical response, on-site support and after-sales service for Indian projects, and will undertake local coordination work for new projects from feasibility study to production commencement. The company has not yet disclosed the investment amount, staffing scale or whether it will build a local equipment manufacturing base for the new Indian company.
