India's Indore Composite to Invest INR 3 Billion in Composite Materials Base
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On November 2, Indian composite materials manufacturer Indore Composite disclosed its investment plan for a new-generation advanced composite materials manufacturing base in Halol, Gujarat. The project plans an investment of INR 3 billion, covers approximately 35 acres, with Phase I building area of about 300,000 square feet, focusing on carbon fiber and glass fiber composite pultrusion production facilities, supported by AI-driven manufacturing systems and an R&D center. The new base will primarily serve wind power generation, power transmission, and related industrial sectors, and is expected to create more than 600 jobs.

According to the construction plan published by the company, the Halol manufacturing base will adopt carbon fiber and glass fiber pultrusion molding technology to develop and produce advanced composite materials for energy infrastructure. The pultrusion process continuously pulls fiber reinforcement materials through resin impregnation and die curing to form composite products with specific cross-sections, suitable for continuous manufacturing of fiber-reinforced profiles. The company plans to use this process to expand domestic manufacturing capacity for related materials, meeting the demand for structural strength, corrosion resistance, and lightweight materials in wind power equipment and power transmission systems.
Phase I of the project is planned to have a building area of approximately 300,000 square feet, with production facilities incorporating AI-assisted manufacturing technology and automated production management solutions. The company also plans to build a Research & Development Center of Excellence to advance materials development, product design, and manufacturing process research. This disclosure clarifies the land scale, Phase I building plan, and technical direction of the base, but has not yet announced the designed annual output of carbon fiber and glass fiber composite materials, the number of production lines, or a detailed equipment procurement list.
Indore Composite has long been engaged in the manufacturing of fiber-reinforced plastic rods and cable protection materials, with products used in optical fiber communications, power cables, and related infrastructure. Through its subsidiary Indore Speciality Materials, the company is expanding its high-performance composite materials business. Its existing technical directions include carbon fiber composite cores for transmission conductors and carbon fiber and glass fiber pultruded profiles for wind turbine blades. The new Halol base will provide additional infrastructure for the manufacturing and technology development of related products.
In the field of power transmission, composite cores can be used in high-temperature low-sag transmission conductors, enabling conductors to withstand higher operating temperatures while maintaining structural performance. The wind power sector requires reinforcement materials with higher stiffness and lower weight to meet the structural design requirements of large wind turbine blades. Indore Composite plans to further develop its carbon fiber and glass fiber composite materials manufacturing business around these market demands and supply related products to overseas customers.
According to the project records previously published by the company, the Halol manufacturing base held its construction launch ceremony on February 28, 2026, with construction work advanced by the relevant business system of Indore Speciality Materials. Therefore, the content disclosed in November pertains to the investment scale, technical configuration, and development plan information of an existing manufacturing base project, and is not the company's first decision to build the plant in November.
VMS Consultants, which is involved in the project, confirmed on November 3 that it is undertaking consulting work including master planning, architectural and structural design, water supply and drainage and related engineering design, specialized coordination, and on-site technical support for the new base. The project construction involves comprehensive planning of composite materials production facilities and supporting R&D space, with related infrastructure to be implemented according to phased construction arrangements.
