Argentina's CAMYEN Launches Mining Investment Platform, Discloses Data on 456 Mining Assets

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 18, CAMYEN, the state-owned mining and energy company of Catamarca Province, Argentina, launched its mining investment digital platform camyeninvestments.com.ar, disclosing geological, legal, and infrastructure information on 456 provincial mining assets. The platform allows searches by mineral type, resource potential, and development stage, and displays the location, main minerals, current legal status, and relevant technical variables of each mining asset.

CAMYEN classified the 456 assets according to different geological and mining conditions, and overlayed mining rights data with road, power, and aviation infrastructure information. The transportation data includes national and provincial highways, the power section covers high-voltage transmission lines and available energy sources, and the aviation section includes airports and strategic airstrips, while also incorporating certain social and environmental factors.

The platform is open to mining investors, technical institutions, and project developers, and can be used to query the spatial relationship between mining assets and existing infrastructure. CAMYEN stated that by cross-referencing geological, legal, and infrastructure data, it is possible to further identify supporting conditions for projects in areas such as transportation and power, and to assess the infrastructure needs required for the subsequent development of different mining assets.

This launch constitutes the first phase of CAMYEN's mining digitalization plan. Development of the platform began in early 2026 and was jointly built by the company's geology, information technology, and legal teams, with two additional phases to follow that will continue to add functions and data content.

Recently, CAMYEN has also been advancing investment promotion for its mining rights assets. In September, Kazakh mining company Bai Tau Minerals visited Catamarca Province to meet with CAMYEN, and plans to conduct on-site inspections of some mining areas within CAMYEN's asset portfolio that are intended to enter public bidding procedures.
