India's RSWM Advances INR 5 Billion Recycled PET and Textile Capacity Expansion Project

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 19, Indian textile company RSWM disclosed its latest update that it is advancing a capacity expansion plan with a total investment of approximately INR 5 billion, focusing on food-grade recycled PET, denim, and knit manufacturing businesses. The project will increase PET bottle recycling, recycled polyester raw material production, and downstream textile processing capacity, while continuing to expand the company's manufacturing scale in the fields of recycled fibers and high-value-added textile materials.

RSWM's existing businesses cover synthetic yarn, cotton yarn, blended yarn, denim, knitted fabrics, and recycled polyester products. This round of expansion plans will connect food-grade recycled PET production with the existing textile manufacturing system, producing recycled polyester raw materials by recycling post-consumer PET bottles and extending downstream to products such as yarn and fabrics. The company's existing recycling business already has a foundation in PET recycling and recycled fiber production.

The project investment also includes the expansion of denim and knit capacity. RSWM's existing denim business is mainly operated through LNJ Denim, with products covering denim fabrics of different weights and weave structures; its knit business supplies knitted fabrics to apparel and brand customers. The new capital expenditure will be used for production equipment, production line upgrades, and the construction of related manufacturing facilities.

RSWM has continued to increase investment in its circular materials business in recent years. The company has already established recycled polyester products made from waste PET bottles and supplies related yarns and fibers to the apparel, home textiles, and industrial textile sectors. This round of food-grade recycled PET project will further increase production capacity for high-purity recycled materials and expand the application scope of recycled raw materials in the textile manufacturing system.

This round of expansion corresponds to the company's next-stage capital expenditure plan, with investment to enter the stages of equipment procurement, production line construction, and capacity ramp-up in batches. The new recycled PET, denim, and knit capacity will be implemented based on RSWM's existing manufacturing bases in India.
