The center features a 1,250-square-meter hands-on training workshop and 3 dedicated training rooms, providing equipment operation, diagnostics, and maintenance training for mining equipment operators, technicians, maintenance teams, and Liebherr customer support personnel.

The center's 3 training rooms are each equipped with mining equipment simulation systems, including simulators for the T 264 mining truck, R 9350 mining hydraulic excavator, and R 9800 mining hydraulic excavator, along with fault diagnosis simulation equipment for technical training. The 1,250-square-meter hands-on workshop is equipped with physical Liebherr equipment and engines for hands-on courses related to equipment structure, overhaul, and on-site maintenance.

The center also deploys a PR 776 G8 mining bulldozer LiReCon remote operation training station and LiDIA engine diagnostic software. At the opening event, Liebherr conducted live demonstrations of the excavator simulator, remote operation system, and engine diagnostic tools, with training covering mining equipment operation, remote control, fault diagnosis, and equipment maintenance.

In line with Liebherr-Australia's existing training system, the company's mining equipment training courses cover mining excavator product familiarization, operating and maintenance principles, testing and adjustment, as well as high-voltage AC electrical operation and maintenance for electric mining equipment such as the R 9400 E. Courses can be delivered at company branches, customer mine sites, or through remote instruction, and are structured with tiered training paths for different roles including operators, technicians, and maintenance personnel.

Liebherr plans to further expand its mining training programs through the new Perth center, including apprentice onboarding training and foundational courses in electrical principles, programming, and hydraulics. The target audience will expand from existing customers and internal support personnel to a broader range of technicians in the Australian mining sector.
