Pearl Global's New Garment Factory in Bangladesh Commences Production

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 22, Indian apparel manufacturer Pearl Global Industries announced that its new garment manufacturing facility in Bangladesh has officially commenced production, while also completing the expansion of its in-house sustainable washing capacity. The new factory adds approximately 7 million pieces per year of garment capacity at optimal utilization, bringing the company's total global garment manufacturing capacity to approximately 108 million pieces per year.

This commencement of production also expands the in-house washing capacity at the Bangladesh base. The company disclosed that the new washing facility will be used to reduce external washing costs and production water consumption, and to improve in-house supporting capacity for the garment finishing stage, with an expected return on invested capital of approximately 18%–20%.

Pearl Global has already established a large-scale garment manufacturing system in Bangladesh. The company currently has 5 manufacturing units in the country, employing more than 14,500 people, covering knit and woven products, with annual manufacturing and export of approximately 59.7 million garments. With the addition of 7 million pieces of new capacity, Bangladesh continues to shoulder the primary production tasks within the company's global manufacturing network.

The company's products cover categories including knitwear, woven apparel, denim, outerwear, sportswear, and casual wear, with its production network spanning India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Guatemala. According to the latest announcement, Pearl Global currently has a total of 25 manufacturing units, with global annual capacity of approximately 108 million pieces, and its main products are sold to markets including the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Japan, Australia, and Canada.

Pearl Global had previously continued to expand its production capacity in Bangladesh. In February 2026, during an earnings call, the company disclosed that new manufacturing facilities in Bangladesh and India were planned to add a combined total of nearly 10 million pieces of annual capacity. Following the commencement of production at the new Bangladesh factory, approximately 7 million pieces of that capacity have now been realized.
