Canada's Grasslands Helium Project Completes 3D Seismic Interpretation of 170 Square Kilometers

The company and its partner North American Helium have each completed the interpretation of 170 square kilometers of 3D seismic data and reached agreement on the locations for the first batch of bottom-hole drilling targets. North American Helium is advancing surface wellsite permit applications for up to 10 wells, with drilling planned to commence as early as January 2027.

North American Helium serves as the operator of the Grasslands project, with Helium Evolution holding a 49% working interest and the partner holding 51%. The two parties reached a joint mineral rights development arrangement in January 2026, planning to conduct 3D seismic exploration covering approximately 170 square kilometers, with a seismic acquisition budget of approximately CAD 4.9 million, of which Helium Evolution bears approximately CAD 2.4 million.

On April 20, 2026, Helium Evolution confirmed the completion of 3D seismic acquisition in the Grasslands/Mankota area, followed by seismic data processing and interpretation. The latest announcement in October confirms that both parties have completed their respective interpretation work and identified preliminary drilling targets. The actual number of wells will still depend on final drilling permit approvals and winter rig availability.
