AGL Completes Transport of 3 Pieces of Equipment Each Exceeding 115 Tons for Thermal Power Project in Sierra Leone
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 24, Africa Global Logistics (AGL), a comprehensive logistics company in Africa, announced that its Sierra Leone team has completed the transport of large equipment for a local thermal power plant construction project. Commissioned by India's Shapoorji Pallonji Group, the transport involved delivering over 20,000 cubic meters of engineering cargo from Freetown Port to the project construction site, including 3 oversized turbine equipment units each weighing more than 115 tons. The transport task has been fully completed.

The cargo included large-volume equipment and heavy power generation equipment, placing high demands on overland transport from the port to the construction site. AGL developed transport routes based on road infrastructure conditions and traffic restrictions along the way, coordinated with local authorities to arrange passage, and deployed specialized transport equipment suitable for oversized cargo. The transport of the 3 heavy equipment units focused on vehicle load capacity, road access conditions, and on-site transport organization for oversized cargo.
More than 20 personnel were mobilized for the entire project, with the AGL Sierra Leone team responsible for coordinating the transport of equipment from the port to the construction site. Marine Maroc and AGL IP&S jointly participated in the task implementation, with the three parties collaborating on cargo transfer, transport resource organization, and on-site operations to complete this batch of equipment transport.
The equipment is intended for use in the thermal power project managed by Shapoorji Pallonji Group. With over 20,000 cubic meters of cargo delivered to the construction site, the relevant equipment has completed its logistics delivery from the port to the project site. The project construction party will subsequently proceed with equipment installation and other engineering work in accordance with the construction schedule.
