en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 30, the 77,000-ton cruise ship "Dream" departed from Shekou International Cruise Home Port in Shenzhen, Guangdong, on a 3-day, 2-night destination-free high-seas voyage, becoming the first pilot cruise of its kind to enter operation in South China. Shenzhen has thus become the third port in China, after Shanghai and Tianjin, to launch a destination-free high-seas cruise pilot. More than 2,150 tickets were sold for the voyage, with passengers including mainland residents, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots, and foreign nationals.

The voyage departed from Shekou, Shenzhen, cruised on the high seas throughout without calling at any other port, and returned to the original departure port upon completion. The "Dream" has a length of approximately 261 meters and a beam of 32.25 meters, with 15 decks and 1,008 guest rooms, a maximum passenger capacity of more than 2,200, and is equipped with theaters, dining, shopping and leisure facilities.

To ensure the maiden voyage, the Shenzhen Shekou Maritime Safety Administration implemented a "one ship, one policy" regulatory approach for the cruise ship, completed a voyage risk assessment in advance, used the Automatic Identification System (AIS), Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) and Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) for dynamic tracking of the port entry and exit process, and organized maritime patrol boats, drones and electronic inspections for on-site support.

For port clearance, customs, border inspection and other units conducted joint boarding inspections, and passenger and crew information was transmitted in advance through the China (Shenzhen) International Trade Single Window. Relevant departments optimized inspection channels and boarding and disembarkation procedures, improving clearance verification efficiency by more than 30% compared with traditional models.
