Seatrium Secures Over S$200 Million FPSO Integration Contract from Dutch Floating Production Provider

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 30, Singapore's Seatrium disclosed on SGX that it has been awarded an FPSO integration contract worth more than S$200 million (approximately US$156.5 million) from Dutch floating production solutions company SBM Offshore. Execution is expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2026 and be completed in 2029. The FPSO will serve an offshore development project in South America.

Prior to integration, Seatrium is responsible for the fabrication of key mooring and riser support structures, the flare tower and associated topside module support structures, as well as vessel conversion and dry docking works. During the integration phase, Seatrium is responsible for the integration of topside modules, encompassing mechanical completion, selected pre-commissioning activities, and commissioning and sea trial support. This scope means Seatrium's role begins with the fabrication of support structures and extends through to final sea trial support, assuming continuous engineering responsibility for the FPSO from hull conversion to seaworthiness, rather than merely lifting modules onto the vessel.

The contract only discloses that the FPSO will serve "an offshore development project in South America." In 2026, SBM Offshore has secured contracts in South America for two FPSOs for Petrobras — SEAP I (P-81, scheduled for delivery in 2031) and SEAP II (P-87, designed for a daily production of 120,000 barrels, scheduled for delivery in 2030) — and has been awarded front-end engineering design work for ExxonMobil's Longtail development project in Guyana.
