GENMA China Delivers a 100-Ton Transshipment Crane
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On November 2, a GENMA 100-ton transshipment crane completed delivery and is about to set sail for its operating area to begin offshore bulk cargo transfer operations. The crane has a maximum lifting capacity of 100 tons, a maximum working radius of 43 meters, and a maximum lifting height of 35 meters.

With a maximum working radius of 43 meters and a maximum lifting height of 35 meters, the crane can grab and release cargo between bulk carriers over greater horizontal distances and in higher vertical spaces. For comparison, the three 100-ton transshipment cranes GENMA delivered to Guinea in January 2026 had a lifting height of 26 meters (some customized models reached 26 meters after optimization with wide-groove pulley blocks). The lifting height of this single unit has been increased to 35 meters, corresponding to transshipment operation requirements under conditions of greater freeboard or higher deck cargo stacking, rather than being a simple copy of an existing model.
Design optimization focused on two operational pain points: maintenance safety and energy consumption control. The crane adopts an independent three-compartment layout, placing the power, electrical, and winch systems in separate compartments to achieve physical isolation, so that maintenance of each system does not interfere with the others, reducing safety risks and downtime during servicing. The control system is equipped with a high-performance electronic control system featuring fast response and a wide power adjustment range, enabling precise fine-control operation during transshipment and, together with energy-saving performance, reducing energy consumption per ton of operation. These two configurations correspond respectively to two types of costs long faced by offshore transshipment: downtime losses from equipment maintenance and fuel/electricity consumption.
This delivery is not the end of the batch; assembly of another transshipment crane is proceeding in parallel. Assembly of the other transshipment crane is progressing steadily and is expected to be delivered in early 2027. GENMA maintains a continuous delivery rhythm on its transshipment crane product line, rather than taking isolated single-unit orders.
