en.Wedoany.com Reported - On November 5, U.S. communications technology company Ribbon Communications announced that regional communications operator Comm1 has selected its Neptune series NPT 2100 and NPT 2300 network equipment and Muse multi-layer automation management platform to upgrade its existing network and expand transmission capacity. The deployment covers IP routing, network access and aggregation, centralized management, and automated operations and maintenance, serving Comm1's fiber broadband, enterprise communications, mobile backhaul, and cloud connectivity services within its coverage area.

The deployment uses Ribbon's NPT 2100 and NPT 2300 platforms, which provide high-capacity IP routing and transmission functions for network access and aggregation scenarios, respectively. Comm1 will consolidate existing service traffic through the new transport network architecture and add transmission capacity for future broadband access, mobile network backhaul, and cloud services.

Comm1 will also deploy Ribbon's Muse multi-layer automation platform (MAP) for centralized management of network equipment. The platform covers functions including network alarms, event monitoring, equipment maintenance, and network element management, providing the operator with unified network operations and maintenance tools.

Comm1 Chief Executive Officer Randy Yaekel said the company's existing network carries services such as fiber internet, telephone, and digital cable television, and customer demand for connectivity continues to grow. Comm1's continued use of Ribbon equipment extends the technology supply relationship previously established between the two parties.

Elizabeth Page, Senior Sales Director at Ribbon, said the deployment combines the Neptune series IP transport platforms with the Muse automation system, with a single architecture handling both transmission capacity expansion and network operations and maintenance management. Comm1 has selected the relevant equipment and begun deployment work.
