en.Wedoany.com Reported - On November 6, Jingyang Company of Jinyu Jidong Cement had cumulatively supplied more than 300,000 tonnes of moderate-heat Portland 42.5 (moderate sulfate resistance) special cement for the Dongzhuang Water Conservancy Hub Project in Shaanxi, completing its cement supply task for the main dam works. The company is currently still supplying the project's supporting final-phase works. The main dam body of the Dongzhuang Water Conservancy Hub took 991 days and nights to pour, completing 862 concrete pours, and achieved full-line topping out 8 months ahead of schedule.

The Dongzhuang Water Conservancy Hub is located on the lower reaches of the Jing River in Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province. It is a national key water conservancy project, with a 230-meter-high concrete double-curvature arch dam as its main structure. The project faces construction requirements including a high dam body, mass concrete temperature control, and long-term high-head water and sediment retention, placing high demands on cement hydration heat, strength, and supply stability. Jingyang Company designated the project as a key supply-guarantee project, adjusting its cement production process around the dam's concrete construction needs, specifically optimizing clinker mineral composition and grinding fineness, and controlling hydration heat levels so that product performance matches the intelligent temperature control system at the construction site.

In production and transportation, Jingyang Company established a dedicated supply-guarantee mechanism, arranging production schedules and shipping rhythms according to the dam's pour-block plans, and setting up inventory warnings and backup transport routes. On the production side, full-process parameter recording and batch-by-batch sampling and testing were implemented from clinker calcination to finished product dispatch, while production control indicators were adjusted based on data such as concrete placement temperature and test-block strength fed back from the construction site. In the face of high temperatures and restricted road access during flood season, the company ensured continuous supply by adjusting shipping time slots, increasing emergency inventory, and preparing backup routes.

The main dam body of the Dongzhuang Water Conservancy Hub completed a total of 862 concrete pours, with Jingyang Company's cumulative supply of more than 300,000 tonnes of special cement used in the main works. At present, the main dam supply-guarantee task has been completed, and the company's supply work has shifted to supporting final-phase works. The project's construction also provides a project case for the application of special cement under conditions of high dams, mass concrete, and complex hydrological and geological conditions.
