en.Wedoany.com Reported - On November 4, Celanese, an American specialty materials and chemicals company, announced price adjustment plans for certain polyamide and polyester engineering plastics products in the Asian market, with increases of USD 0.20 to 0.30 per kilogram, equivalent to USD 200 to 300 per tonne. The adjustment covers four material categories: PA6, PA66, PBT and PET, and the new prices are scheduled to take effect for relevant shipments from November 9, with the specific implementation time subject to customer contract terms.

The polyamide price adjustment covers brands including Zytel, Frianyl, Celanyl, Minlon, CoolPoly and Ecomid. Among them, PA6 series products will increase by USD 0.30 per kilogram, while PA66 series products will increase by USD 0.20 per kilogram, with the two material categories subject to different price increase standards.

The polyester price adjustment involves polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) under the Crastin and Celanex brands, as well as polyethylene terephthalate (PET) under the Rynite brand. The prices of the above products will all increase by USD 0.30 per kilogram, applicable to the relevant grades sold in the Asian market.

Celanese attributes this adjustment to continuously rising costs and changing market conditions. The company explicitly states that the actual increase for individual material grades may be higher than the standards listed in the announcement, with specific implementation determined according to the corresponding product and sales contract.
