en.Wedoany.com Reported - On November 5, South Korean construction equipment brand DEVELON announced two specialized machines for the waste handling and resource recycling industry: the DX270WMH-7 wheeled material handler and the DL280-7 waste-handling wheel loader. The two machines were displayed at the Ecomondo 2026 exhibition held in Rimini, Italy, from November 3 to 6, targeting solid waste handling, recyclable material loading and unloading, and recycling facility operation needs, and are equipped with reinforced work equipment, cab safety systems, and dedicated protective components.

The DX270WMH-7 wheeled material handler features a redesigned undercarriage, boom, arm, elevating cab, and counterweight structure. With the outriggers deployed, the machine's support footprint is increased by 35 cm in length and 50 cm in width compared with the previous generation. The cab is equipped with a hydraulic lifting system with a maximum lift of 2,603 mm, an 8-inch display, and emergency lowering valves provided both inside and outside the cab.

The machine's boom and arm have been redesigned for heavy-duty material handling, with a maximum work equipment pin height of 13,830 mm. The machine is equipped with the Virtual Wall safety system, which sets machine motion boundaries according to the work site and restricts the work equipment from entering designated areas. Maintenance features include a tilting condenser, magnetic dust screens, a standard reversing fan, and optimized lubrication points for the cab and outriggers.

The DL280-7 waste-handling wheel loader is developed on the existing DL280-7 platform and offers three boom configurations—standard, extended, and super-long—corresponding to articulation pin heights of 3,994 mm, 4,364 mm, and 4,994 mm, respectively. The super-long boom uses a lightweight frame structure, with the structural weight and load capacity of the front-end work equipment adjusted for waste loading and unloading operations.

The DL280-7 displayed at the exhibition is equipped with a high-dump bucket jointly developed with Italian attachment manufacturer Leonardi Benne. The bucket is 2,545 mm wide with a capacity of 4 m³ and can achieve a dump height of 4,697 mm to 5,793 mm depending on the boom configuration. Key wear areas of the bucket use 450 HB wear-resistant steel, while the rest of the main structure uses high-strength steel.

The DL280-7 is also equipped with a waste-handling-specific protection package, including external protective frames for the lift cylinders, windshield protective mesh, guards for the lights and wheels, underframe articulation guards, and air intake protection. Both machines showcased by DEVELON in the Italian market feature dedicated configurations for waste handling applications.
