Romanian Makerly Commissions Three Additive Manufacturing Post-Processing Systems
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On November 5, three German DyeMansion additive manufacturing post-processing systems were put into production at Romanian industrial 3D printing service provider Makerly, namely the PowerFuse S vapor smoothing system, the Powershot X surface treatment system, and the DM60 deep dyeing system. The three systems will be used for surface sealing, wear-resistant treatment, and coloring of polymer 3D printed parts, and will be integrated with Makerly's existing industrial additive manufacturing operations to provide customers with integrated printing and post-processing order services.

The PowerFuse S employs DyeMansion's VaporFuse Surfacing vapor surface treatment process, which can smooth the outer surfaces and internal channels of polymer printed parts, improving surface porosity and roughness and creating surfaces that are easier to clean and moisture-resistant. The system can process PA11, PA12, and certain thermoplastic elastomer materials, and is aimed at industrial parts with complex geometries.
The Powershot X employs the PolyShot surface treatment process, processing printed parts with a dedicated blasting medium to produce a uniform semi-gloss surface and improve scratch and wear resistance. The system supports powder removal, surface treatment, and combined processing modes, preserves fine structural features of parts during processing, and prepares surfaces for subsequent deep dyeing.
The DM60 employs DeepDye Coloring technology, which allows dye to penetrate the surface layer of polymer parts and bond with the material. Makerly's published dye validation documentation covers ISO 10993-5, ISO 10993-10, and ISO 10993-12 testing, as well as ISO 105 series colorfastness tests, and provides REACH and RoHS compliance statements. The above test documentation pertains to specific dyes and processing conditions.
The three new systems have been incorporated into Makerly's existing processing service workflow, operating in coordination with its original sandblasting, dyeing, and industrial coating operations. Customers can submit 3D models through the company's online quotation system, select printing and post-processing processes, and obtain corresponding processing quotes. Makerly currently uses HP Multi Jet Fusion industrial 3D printing equipment to produce functional parts, prototypes, and small-batch polymer products.
