Ulstein Delivers Second CSOV to Olympic

Wedoany.com Report-Nov 14,  Norwegian vessel owner Olympic has taken delivery of the second of two Construction Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs) from Ulstein.

The Olympic Notos was developed in partnership with Ulstein, incorporating the TWIN X-STERN design and hybrid power solutions to reduce fuel consumption and emissions.

In addition to its fuel-saving features, the vessel, which is based on SX222 design, is equipped with a comprehensive energy recovery system, integrating battery storage, variable-speed generators, and heat recovery.

Olympic Notos and its sister vessel, Olympic Boreas, have a length of 89.6 metres, a beam of 19.2 metres, and can accommodate 126 people in 91 cabins.

Olympic and Ulstein signed the contract for the two vessels in July 2022 and the next year, the keel was laid for Olympic Notos at the Crist yard in Poland which has been tasked with building the hulls.
