Wedoany.com Report-Nov. 14, On November 12, South Korean animal feed manufacturer Nonghyup Feed Inc. (NOFI) purchased 75,000 tons of feed corn through a tender, according to Reuters. The tender involved multiple suppliers, with Agrocorp and Lotte selected as the winners based on their respective offers.

Agrocorp secured the larger portion of the tender, agreeing to supply 60,000 tons of corn at a price of $265.50 per ton. An additional charge of $1.30 per ton applies if the shipment is delivered to two ports. Lotte was awarded the remaining 15,000 tons at a price of $255.90 per ton. These purchase agreements reflect prevailing market dynamics and supply conditions across key exporting regions.

Shipment schedules vary by origin. Deliveries from Australia, Canada, and the Northwest Coast of the United States are planned between January 8 and January 27. Grain shipped from ports in the Gulf of Mexico is scheduled for loading between December 19 and January 7. For European ports, shipments are set from December 24 to December 12, and for South American ports, the schedule runs from December 14 to February 2. These timelines align with logistical planning to ensure timely arrival and balanced distribution from multiple supply regions.

According to the tender documentation, the purchased corn is expected to arrive in South Korea by February 15, 2026. This procurement supports NOFI’s feed production needs and maintains stable supply levels for the country’s livestock sector. The tender also illustrates the company’s reliance on diversified international sourcing to secure feed ingredients from various global markets.
