Wedoany.com Report-Nov. 14, Analysts at the Rosario Grains Exchange have increased Argentina’s wheat production forecast to 24.5 million tons, exceeding last month’s estimate and surpassing the previous record of 23 million tons achieved four years ago. The new projection reflects expectations of stronger yields supported by favorable weather and improved farming practices.
According to the exchange, above-average rainfall during key growth periods has benefited crop development across major producing regions. In addition, farmers’ investments in higher-quality seeds and enhanced disease-management measures have contributed to the revised estimate. These combined factors are providing conditions for wheat yields that exceed earlier expectations for the season.
For Argentina’s 2025/26 corn and soybean crops, the Rosario Grains Exchange has maintained its previous forecasts. Corn production is projected at 61 million tons, while soybean output remains estimated at 47 million tons. These steady projections indicate that current crop conditions and market expectations have not shifted significantly since the last update.
The stronger-than-anticipated wheat harvest has potential market implications, particularly regarding price trends. With record-level output adding further volume to global supply, the larger harvest may reduce upward pressure on wheat prices in international markets. Argentina’s role as a major exporter means its production levels contribute noticeably to global availability, and the increased output strengthens its position in worldwide wheat trade.
Overall, the revised wheat forecast highlights the impact of favorable climate conditions and continued technological investment in Argentina’s agricultural sector. The combination of improved yields and sustained production of other key crops supports the country’s role in international grain markets, while also influencing price expectations as the season progresses.
