en.Wedoany.com Reported - A water supply project funded by the Framework Agreement (Convenio Marco) has been launched in the city of Espinar, Peru, benefiting over 3,100 families across 15 neighborhoods. The project aims to improve residents' quality of life by enhancing drinking water and sewage services.

Named the "Emergency Plan for Improving and Expanding Drinking Water and Sewage Services," the project is funded by the twentieth donation from Antapaccay under the Framework Agreement. It includes the construction of two reservoirs with a capacity of 500 cubic meters each, the installation of new water pipelines, and supporting works to strengthen the drinking water distribution system. This infrastructure development is a crucial step in narrowing the gap in basic services, reflecting the support of the Framework Agreement Management Committee for local development.

At the inauguration ceremony, Artemio Pérez, Senior Manager of Social Management at Antapaccay, noted that access to water is one of the primary needs in Espinar. He recalled the original purpose of the Framework Agreement, stating that this project represents the aspirations of those who promoted it—to implement lasting projects and improve the quality of life for the population through a pooled fund. He emphasized the need to continue driving new investments to strengthen the drinking water system and close gaps.

Cludy Laguna Ccapa, Mayor of the Espinar Province and President of the Framework Agreement Management Committee, stressed that ensuring access to water means investing in residents' health, well-being, and quality of life. He described the project as a significant step toward improving people's quality of life, noting that collaborative efforts can continue to close gaps and that new investments are needed to guarantee water access for all.

The launch of this emergency water supply plan marks a key step toward improving livelihoods. Additionally, the development of the Coroccohuayco project will help sustain local mining activities, providing the necessary resources to drive new projects and create development opportunities in the future.
