Wedoany.com Report-Nov. 27, The LYCRA Company has officially opened its new LYCRA® fiber (Yinchuan) Plant in Ningxia Province, China. The facility, representing an investment exceeding RMB 800 million, is the company’s largest spandex production site worldwide and its second manufacturing location in China.
Developed in partnership with Yinchuan Financial Capital Investment Group, the plant adds 30,000 tons of annual spandex capacity in its first phase. This initial output is expected to generate over RMB 1 billion in yearly revenue and create approximately 500 local jobs. Future expansion plans target a total capacity of 120,000 tons per year to meet rising demand for high-quality spandex in China and across the Asia-Pacific region.
The advanced production lines incorporate high levels of automation and intelligent manufacturing systems. Operations are designed to follow The LYCRA Company’s global sustainability standards, with emphasis on energy efficiency, emission reduction, and environmentally responsible processes.

The Yinchuan facility strengthens The LYCRA Company’s localized supply chain in China, enabling shorter lead times and more responsive service for customers throughout the region. The opening reinforces the company’s long-term commitment to the Chinese market and its strategy of building efficient, sustainable manufacturing capacity to serve one of the world’s largest textile and garment production bases.
