Wedoany.com Report-Dec.3, BT International has appointed Johan Lubbe as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Lubbe brings more than 20 years of senior leadership experience in the telecommunications sector across multiple regions.
During his career, Lubbe served as Chief Financial Officer and interim Chief Executive Officer at Vodacom, where he played a key role in establishing and leading Vodacom Mozambique to a successful market position. He subsequently spent over eight years at Telia in various executive roles, including CFO of Eurasia, regional Chief Operating Officer, Vice President of Corporate Control, CFO and Vice President of Finance, interim CFO, CFO of Sweden, and transformational lead.
Most recently, Lubbe was Senior Vice President and Deputy Group CFO at IHS Towers. In that position, he oversaw a team of nine country CFOs across all operating markets, delivering strategic guidance, professional development support, and strong governance frameworks.
Announcing the appointment on LinkedIn, Lubbe expressed appreciation to BT International CEO Bas Burger and the entire team for their warm reception. “I am really looking forward to working with the talented team to continue making BT International a trusted partner to our customers and stakeholders,” he said.
