Wedoany.com Report-Dec.11, Hong Kong Airlines has successfully renewed its codeshare partnership with Canadian carrier WestJet, effective October 2025. The agreement significantly enhances connectivity between Hong Kong and multiple destinations across Canada. Hong Kong Airlines will place its "HX" designator code on a range of WestJet-operated domestic services within Canada, enabling smooth onward connections for passengers arriving in Vancouver.

Travelers on Hong Kong Airlines flights can now conveniently reach key Canadian cities such as Calgary, Toronto, Edmonton, Kelowna, Prince George, and Victoria through a single booking. The renewed cooperation expands travel options and supports seamless transfers for both leisure and business passengers.

In a separate development, Turkish Airlines and South African Airways have concluded a new codeshare agreement set to commence on 1 March 2026. The partnership will allow Turkish Airlines to place its "TK" code on South African Airways flights serving important routes from Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth, as well as regional destinations including Windhoek, Harare, Victoria Falls, and Mauritius.

Reciprocally, South African Airways will add its "SA" code on selected Turkish Airlines services linking İstanbul with Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, and extending to European hubs such as Frankfurt, Paris, and London.
