The Boke Tinguilinta Bauxite Mine of the Guinea Government Mining Company Officially Commences Production

Wedoany.com Report-Dec.26, According to reports, the Guinea Government Mining Company—Nimba Mining Company S.A. (NMC) reached a significant milestone on December 20, 2025, with the official commencement of production at its Tinguilinta bauxite mine located in Tanéné, Boke Prefecture.

Through the restart of this "old mine," Nimba Mining Company reaffirms its commitment to contributing to the development of the mining sector, job creation, promoting the socio-economic development of local communities, and national economic growth.

Oussein Ibrahim Sylla, Director of Support Services, Security, and Communications at Nimba Mining Company, stated that this restart is the result of the hard work and determination of all staff: "With the arrival of the train at Tinguilinta today, we have officially launched the mine's operations. This achievement is thanks to the policy of the Guinean government, under the leadership of General Mamady Doumbouya, to create and support a company that is 100% Guinean-owned."
