The UK Department for Education has recently selected John Graham Construction for a £37 million building contract to reconstruct the Castle Rock School in Coalville, Leicestershire. This significant construction contract aims to provide new and upgraded teaching facilities for the secondary school and sixth form campus.

Under this construction contract, Graham will be responsible for building a new two-storey teaching block and renovating and converting existing buildings. The project plans to demolish some old school buildings to improve the learning and accommodation environment for up to 1,550 students. The scope of work also includes creating outdoor learning and play areas, a multi-use games area with three pitches, and broader optimization and transformation of the entire campus.

The award of this construction contract marks the commencement of the substantive construction phase for the Castle Rock School facilities upgrade project. The related works are expected to enhance the school's teaching environment and overall capacity, meeting the educational development needs of the local community.
