Wedoany.com News — Recently, Exus Renewables has commissioned two new wind farms in Poland: Jastrowie (30 MW) and Okonek (23 MW), with a total installed capacity of 53 MW. This marks a new step forward in Poland's clean energy transition.

The commissioning was facilitated by a power purchase agreement (PPA) signed with tech giant Amazon, which urgently needs to secure more energy for its data centers. The two projects are expected to generate over 116 GWh of electricity annually, significantly supporting Poland in achieving its National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP) target of sourcing 56% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030. Unlike the policy orientation in the United States, Europe continues to encourage wind power development. Poland recently launched its first contracts for difference (CfD) auction to support offshore wind. Industry observers note that mechanisms such as power purchase agreements are driving Europe to become a hotspot for renewable energy investment. Key progress has also been made in offshore wind projects like Germany's Windanker, collectively strengthening the momentum of Europe's energy transition.
