Wedoany.com Report on Feb 3rd, Recently, the key Hadatu-Uran uranium mine exploration project in China was officially and successfully concluded. This project not only completed the uranium resource exploration tasks with high quality, with the confirmed deposit resource scale ranking among the top in China, but also compressed the exploration timeline of the four stages—survey and evaluation, reconnaissance, detailed exploration, and prospecting—to just one year, setting a new record for exploration efficiency in China's uranium mining sector. It has not only opened up a significant new front for increasing national uranium reserves and production but also provided crucial resource support for ensuring China's energy security and optimizing its energy structure during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period.

It is reported that the project was fully implemented by the "national team" and "main force" of uranium exploration—the CNNC Nuclear Industry 208 Brigade. In March 2025, the project team received the critical task of submitting an exploration report by the end of November. Under the overall leadership of CNNC Uranium Industry and CNNC Geological Exploration Group, the 208 Brigade promptly initiated a攻坚机制 (攻坚 mechanism). With management innovation as the soul and technological innovation as the wings, they achieved an "acceleration" in exploration through dual-drive efforts. Within just eight months, the project team cumulatively completed 187,300 meters of drilling work, setting a new record for annual construction workload and number of boreholes for a single deposit. They submitted exploration reports for two large deposits, which passed review in one go, successfully exploring the techniques and experience for completing high-quality tasks under extremely tight deadlines and creating a miracle in China's uranium exploration industry.

Furthermore, while advancing exploration borehole construction, the 208 Brigade collaborated extensively with CNNC Inner Mongolia Mining Co., Ltd. and CNNC Mining Technology Group Co., Ltd., simultaneously carrying out in-situ leaching (ISL) test borehole construction, laying a solid foundation for the successful completion of the ISL tests.
