Wedoany.com Report on Feb 12th, Hutchison Ports ECT Rotterdam recently announced an additional order for 12 Huisman automated stacking cranes, following a previous order for 6 units of the same type. These cranes have a maximum lifting capacity of 41 tons, offer flexible stacking heights (stackable in layers of either 5 or 6 containers), and can achieve a maximum stacking width of 11 containers. They are designed for a service life exceeding 4 million handling cycles, with key components rated for over 50,000 operating hours.

Currently, 3 of the first batch of delivered cranes are already in operation, while the remaining 3 are undergoing final commissioning and testing, with full deployment expected later this month. For this additional order, Huisman will manufacture the cranes across its European factories. Welding and pre-assembly will take place in the Czech Republic, with final assembly at its facility in Schiedam, the Netherlands. Commissioning and testing will be conducted at the ECT Delta terminal on Maasvlakte in the Port of Rotterdam.

Mike van Wingerden, Business Line Manager at Huisman, stated: "ECT's decision to order a second batch of our automated stacking cranes is a strong testament to the trust built during our close collaboration over the past year." As a key member of Hutchison Ports Group, ECT has been operating the ECT Delta and ECT Euromax terminals on Maasvlakte in the North Sea since its establishment in 1966, providing efficient and reliable services to the global shipping industry.
