On January 30, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Chairman Hong Tianzhu of China's Texhong Group at the Government Headquarters.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated Texhong Group on its fruitful investments in Vietnam in recent years. He stated that Vietnam-China relations are developing well, providing a very favorable environment for Texhong's cooperation and investment in Vietnam. He expressed the expectation that Texhong would expand its investment in the production of raw and auxiliary materials in Vietnam; organize fashion shows of international standard in Vietnam; and continue to expand the Hai Ha Industrial Zone. In particular, the Prime Minister encouraged Texhong Group to make deep investments in Vietnam, especially by vigorously promoting the application of science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, green production, and intelligent management. He emphasized utilizing more scientific knowledge and intelligence rather than relying solely on labor, raw materials, and land, thereby optimizing the group's operations.

Chairman Hong Tianzhu of Texhong Group thanked Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh for taking the time to meet and expressed gratitude for the care and guidance provided by the Vietnamese Government and the Prime Minister to Texhong's cooperative investment activities in Vietnam over the past period. He mentioned that through these efforts, Texhong has invested nearly USD 2 billion in Vietnam, contributing to the development of Quang Ninh and Dong Nai provinces. The group has also attracted 34 Chinese enterprises to invest USD 3 billion, creating 16,000 jobs; and has developed the textile production ecosystem in the Hai Ha Industrial Zone (Quang Ninh) into an important link in the global production chain.

Hong Tianzhu highly agreed with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's views. He stated that Texhong Group is interested in and hopes to expand investment in the Quang Ninh cross-border industrial zone, develop energy, invest in data centers, digital technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and develop the aluminum industry, among other areas. In the near future, Texhong will invite experts and directors to cooperate with Quang Ninh province to study organizing events in Ha Long City, contributing to promoting the development of Quang Ninh's tourism.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh believed that Texhong's development strategy must align with Vietnam's development strategy to resonate and achieve effectiveness. He welcomed Texhong's expansion of investment scale into other fields, especially data centers and clean energy. In the near term, Texhong needs to leverage its achieved results to enable the textile industry to participate in the global value chain; and support Vietnamese enterprises, especially those in Quang Ninh and Dong Nai provinces, to participate in this value chain. Among these, the group should focus on investing in the production of raw and auxiliary materials for the textile industry to serve export production, helping Vietnam achieve localization in the textile sector.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that Quang Ninh province and Vietnam as a whole possess significant potential that aligns with Texhong's cooperation and investment needs. Relevant parties are promoting investment in cross-border economic zones, studying the addition of border gates, investing in the construction of more bridges and roads, and upgrading railway lines connecting to China. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed confidence that Texhong Group will achieve even greater success in Vietnam year by year, contributing to promoting and implementing the commitments between the high-level leaders of the two countries, for the development of each nation and the well-being of their peoples, nurturing and consolidating the ever-developing Vietnam-China relations.
