Recently, the first blasting operation at the quarry for the Magade-Gidigis Road Project in Cameroon's Far North Region was safely completed. This has laid a solid foundation for the project's subsequent construction by securing a stable supply of crushed stone.

To ensure the safe and smooth execution of the blasting operation, the project department organized the production and safety teams to repeatedly optimize the blasting plan based on the quarry's specific terrain and landform characteristics. A precise blasting layout map was drawn, clearly marking key areas such as the core blasting zone, security perimeter, and monitoring points. Furthermore, a dedicated personnel and post responsibility system was established, clarifying duties for each stage and the emergency response procedures. A strict security perimeter was cordoned off, prohibiting the entry of unauthorized personnel, livestock, and vehicles during the operation. This dual approach, focusing on both institutional measures and practical execution, firmly established the safety defenses.

The successful implementation of this quarry blasting for the road project not only removed a critical bottleneck for the project's self-sufficient supply of crushed stone but also demonstrated the project team's solid professional capabilities in safety management through a flawless, zero-accident, zero-hazard operation. This has laid a solid and stable foundation for the project's subsequent production and operations.
