Features

1. High Measurement Accuracy

Due to the multi-orifice structure of the balanced flow sensor, it can balance the flow field, reduce turbulence, vibration, and signal noise, greatly improving flow field stability. The body uses specially precision-machined pipes and dedicated pressure tapping devices, improving accuracy by 5-10 times compared to traditional throttling devices.

After actual flow calibration, sensor accuracy can reach ±0.3% or ±0.5%, suitable for custody transfer applications.

Geometric dimension inspection yields sensor accuracy of ±0.5% or ±1.0%, suitable for process control applications.

2. Low Straight Pipe Run Requirement

The balanced flow sensor can balance and stabilize the flow field, with pressure recovery twice as fast as traditional throttling devices, significantly reducing straight pipe run requirements. In most cases, straight pipe runs can be as short as 0.5D~2D. Especially for special or expensive pipelines, using a balanced flowmeter can eliminate the need for long straight pipe sections.

3. Low Permanent Pressure Loss

The symmetric balanced design reduces vortex formation and turbulent friction, lowering kinetic energy loss. Under the same conditions, pressure loss is about 70% less than traditional throttling devices, approaching that of a Venturi tube, thus saving significant operating costs and making it highly recommended for widespread adoption.

4. Wide Turndown Ratio

Compared to traditional throttling devices, the balanced flowmeter greatly improves the turndown ratio. Research shows that when Reynolds number >50,000, with appropriate orifice parameters, there is no upper limit. For conventional industrial measurement needs, the turndown ratio is typically 10:1, and with suitable parameters, it can reach 30:1 or higher.

5. Excellent Repeatability and Long-term Stability

The balanced flow sensor stabilizes the flow field, greatly improving repeatability to ±0.1%. Multiple flow passages distribute stress evenly with no sharp-edge wear, maintaining constant β value over time with excellent long-term stability. The entire meter has no moving parts, with service life 5-10 times longer than traditional throttling devices.

6. Dirt-resistant and Non-clogging

The multi-orifice symmetric balanced design reduces turbulent shear and vortex formation, greatly lowering dead zone formation, allowing dirty media to pass smoothly through multiple orifices and reducing the chance of flow passage blockage.

7. Wide Measurement Range

According to experimental results, the balanced flowmeter's performance allows flow velocity from minimum to sonic speed, with minimum Reynolds number below 200 and maximum above 107; β value selectable from 0.25-0.9.

8. Broad Application Range

Operating temperature and pressure depend on pipe and flange material and rating, with maximum temperature up to 850°C and pressure up to 42MPa.

Suitable for cryogenic fluids such as LNG, liquid air, liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, liquid argon, liquefied ethylene, liquid hydrogen, liquid chlorine, etc., effectively preventing vaporization with optimal measurement performance.
Can measure gas-liquid two-phase, slurry, and even solid particle flows, and supports bidirectional flow measurement.
The balanced flowmeter is completely symmetric left-right, making bidirectional flow measurement very convenient.
