The remote differential pressure transmitter is a device where a capillary tube connects the differential pressure transmitter with the measured equipment. It is a type of remote sensing device installed on pipelines or containers to sense the measured pressure. This pressure is transmitted to the transmitter body through the silicone oil (or other liquids) inside the capillary tube. The pressure or differential pressure is then converted into a 4–20mA DC signal (with HART digital communication overlay) or PROFIBUS-PA communication signal output by the δ chamber and amplification circuit board within the transmitter body. When paired with a hand-held communicator that conforms to the HART protocol, they can communicate with each other for setting and monitoring.

The ZDS4833 remote differential pressure transmitter (flat diaphragm type) has various types of remote sensing configurations. Its main structure is the same as that of a differential pressure transmitter and is used for measuring liquid levels. It is widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemicals, power, food, paper-making, and municipal engineering.
