Wedoany.com Report on Mar 3rd, The West Midlands Combined Authority Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) has partnered with Citymapper, a travel app owned by Via, to launch a new journey planning tool. This tool aims to optimize travel experiences in the region by integrating options from bus, train, tram, and bike networks, providing users with fast, clear, and personalized travel information.

As part of the collaboration, the nBus mobile ticketing system will soon be integrated into the Citymapper app, allowing passengers to purchase tickets directly via their mobile phones. This feature simplifies the process of planning, paying, and traveling, enhancing the convenience of using public transport. In Coventry, the flexible bus service "West Midlands On-Demand" will also introduce integrated booking options, further expanding its service reach.

Sandeep Shingadia, Executive Director of TfWM, said: "This is an important step in making it easier for people to get around our region." He added: "By providing passengers with clearer, more reliable information and simple ways to plan and pay, we are encouraging more people to choose public transport. This is good for both our economy and our environment."

Sam Griffiths, Head of UK and Nordics at Via, noted that this new arrangement will "help unlock the full potential of our integrated platform." The upgraded journey planning tool is now officially live on the TfWM website tfwm.org.uk, while the Citymapper app is available for free download on the Apple and Google Play stores.
