Fuhai Dongying Subsidiary EVOH Polyolefin Pilot Project Announced, with an Annual Production Capacity of 180 Tons of High-Performance Polyolefin Resin

Recently, Dongying Hualian Petrochemical Plant Co., Ltd. initiated a pilot project with an annual production capacity of 180 tons of high-performance polyolefin resin. It has now entered the environmental impact assessment acceptance and public announcement stage. The public comment period starts from March 2, 2026, and lasts for 10 working days.

The company is located in Dongying City, Shandong Province, China, covering an area of over 2,000 mu (approximately 133 hectares). It is divided into north and south plant areas and employs more than 1,500 staff. Its main products include over ten types of petrochemical products such as gasoline, diesel, liquefied petroleum gas, fuel oil, wax oil, residual oil, kerosene, naphtha, asphalt, propylene, propane, petroleum coke, benzene, and aromatics.

Existing projects within the plant area cover hydrogen production and hydrotreating units, heavy oil fractionation, delayed coking, gasoline and diesel hydrotreating, gasoline upgrading, aromatics extraction technical renovation, methanol-to-hydrogen technical renovation, sulfur recovery, heavy oil catalytic cracking, inferior oil processing, mixed C4 comprehensive utilization technical renovation and supporting facilities, high-efficiency pulverized coal boiler and supporting facilities, waste gas and waste acid comprehensive utilization, gasoline quality improvement combined unit technical renovation project, hydrotreating unit product quality upgrade project, and an annual 7,000-ton special engineering plastics project.

This pilot project adopts process technology jointly developed by Fuhai (Dongying) Technical Service Co., Ltd. and Dongying Hualian Petrochemical Plant Co., Ltd. Dongying Hualian Petrochemical Plant Co., Ltd. is responsible for the construction and operation of the pilot test, and both parties will collaborate to complete the experimental process.

The project will be constructed within the existing plant area, with a total area of approximately 3,000 square meters. It will add 18 new employees, including 15 production personnel and 3 management personnel. A three-shift, two-crew rotation system will be implemented, with 5 people per shift working 8 hours. Annual operation is planned for 300 days, with a maximum annual operating time of 7,200 hours.
