The commercial vehicle manufacturer MAN Truck & Bus has announced plans to invest approximately €300 million by 2030 to expand and upgrade its service network across Europe. This investment will be used to establish new locations, modernize existing facilities, optimize regional layouts, and enhance the network's capability to meet the demands of electric mobility. It is reportedly the largest investment in MAN's history in the service network sector.

Friedrich Baumann, a member of the MAN Board of Management for Sales and Customer Solutions, stated: "Our strong service network is a key advantage. In the coming years, we will continue to invest to expand this network. In a context where the combination of product, service, and quality is becoming increasingly important, especially with new competitors entering the market, we aim to achieve sustainable development through this investment."

MAN's goal is that by 2030, nearly 80% of its customers will be able to reach the nearest MAN service point within 30 minutes. Key markets include Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Poland, and Turkey. Baumann noted: "In these countries, we are opening an average of seven new branches per year, particularly adding locations in logistics-intensive areas."

The company is also committed to adapting its service locations to sustainable mobility trends. By 2026, two-thirds of the locations will be equipped to support electric mobility. Approximately one-third of the investment will be allocated to electric mobility and digital initiatives. This includes training European employees, expanding the battery service center network, partnering with E.ON to set up public charging points across Europe, and advancing the digitalization of workshop processes.
